You're reading: Ukraine’s airlines increase passenger traffic by 42.5 percent

Ukrainian airlines, according to live data from the State Aviation Service, transported 3.471 million passengers in January-May, which is 42.5 percent more than in the same period in 2016.

According to a report on the agency’s website, international traffic grew by 45.1 percent, to 3.127 million people.

Passenger flows through the airports of Ukraine increased by 34.1 percent and amounted to 5.497 million people, in particular international traffic rose by 36.2 percent and amounted to 4.8 million passengers.

During January-May Ukrainian airlines carried out 33,300 commercial flights (24.7 percent up year-over-year), including 27,900 international flights (22.9 percent up).
