You're reading: Ukraine’s navy begins training of active reservists

The training of active reservists has begun in the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the press center of the command reported on Tuesday.

“On the basis of a separate Marine brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Navy, the training period began for the active reservists. The purpose of the event is to increase the level of readiness of troops for use as intended in the event of open aggression from the Russian Federation. Meetings include theoretical and practical training. In particular, it is planned to conduct tactical exercises at one of the military ranges,” the message reads.

The press center notes that training period with reservists is held in the Armed Forces of Ukraine within the framework of introducing and ensuring the legal regime of martial law in certain regions of Ukraine.
