Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus Ihor Kyzym has sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus in connection with the violation of the Vienna Convention by the officers of the State Border Committee of Belarus, the Ukrainian Embassy in Minsk told Radio Liberty.

Earlier, while the ambassador was crossing the border, officers of the Novaya Guta checkpoint inspected the diplomat’s car. On the video released, Kyzym said that he considers the actions of the border guard officers to be a violation of the paragraph of the Vienna Convention prohibiting the inspection of a diplomat’s personal baggage, and promised to send a note.
