Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Ukraine’s Trade Representative Natalia Mykolska has said that Ukrainian and Belarusian companies could cooperate to jointly produce goods and export them to third countries.

“We always say that Ukraine and Belarus are neighbor countries which should trade – export and import. I would like to say that there is one more important thing – cooperation for exporting goods to third countries’ markets,” she said at the Ukrainian-Belarusian economic forum in Kyiv on July 21.

Mykolska recalled that Ukraine has free trade agreements with the European Union (EU), countries of the European Free Trade Association and the agreement with Canada will take effect on August 1.

“These are opportunities which Belarusian companies can use to jointly with their Ukrainian partners to produce goods on the territory of Ukraine and export them to the markets of these countries,” she said.

She said that Belarus has also opportunities to freely trade, which Ukraine does not have. Ukrainian companies also have a chance of considering cooperation with Belarusian companies to export their goods to these countries.
