The Ukrainian-British exercises Warrior Watcher 2019 military exercises have started in Mykolaiv with the participation of representatives of the Navy, the Air Force of the Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of Great Britain.

“The Ukrainian military, consisting of units of the marine corps, naval aviation and units of Ukraine’s Armed Forces under the guidance of British instructors, will learn from the experience of leading countries implementing the standards of the North Atlantic Alliance,” the press center of Ukraine’s Naval Forces of Ukraine said on Oct. 17.

The exercises will last nine days and will include theoretical and practical parts, during which participants will be introduced to the organization of protection and defense of airfields and will conduct practical exercises on a military airfield in Mykolaiv region.

“Ukrainian-British exercises Warrior Watcher 2019 are being held for the first time. The training format was developed taking into account modern challenges and threats to security,” the press center said.

As reported, on February 26, the Verkhovna Rada approved the decision of the president of Ukraine on the admission of units of the armed forces of other states to the territory of Ukraine in 2019 to participate in multinational exercises.
