Ukraine’s Embassy in the United States has asked a number of American movie theatres not to screen “T-34,” a Russian film that popularizes current aggression by Russia.

“The embassy has called on movie theatres not to show this film because it openly popularizes current aggression in the world by Russia, which Ukraine is a victim of. The film uses the historical memory of World War II heroes,” the embassy said on its Facebook page on Feb. 19 night.

Ukrainian diplomats thanked representatives of Ukraine’s diaspora in the United States for stopping the film from being shown in American cities and ask all other activists to combine their efforts and appeal to local cinemas not to screen the film.
