The drama film ‘Donbass’ by Ukrainian film director Serhiy Loznitsa about events in the Russian occupied areas in the east of Ukraine will be shown as part of the Contemporary World Cinema section of the International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.

“Since September 6, the Ukrainian stand at the Toronto Film Festival will be working to represent Ukraine as a promising destination for the production of films: it will inform about innovations in the legislation, introduce the possibilities of production and the variety of locations,” Arthouse Traffic’s press service reported on Wednesday.

It is noted that the Ukrainian film industry will be represented on the Toronto film market for the second time.

The film ‘Donbass’ consists of a number of scenes featuring real stories that happened in the occupied areas of the east of Ukraine.
