Information concerning allegedly confirmed Covid-19 cases in Ukraine, which has been spread in the name of the Ukrainian Health Ministry and the Public Health Center, is a knowing attack on the agency, Ukrainian Health Minister Zoriana Skaletska said.

“Fake information claiming the existence of coronavirus cases in Ukraine was released this morning, allegedly on behalf of the Health Ministry and the Public Health Center. I have all the grounds to believe that this is a knowing information attack on the ministry. So, I have asked the head of the Security Service to react to such cases,” Skaletska said on Facebook.

In the minister’s opinion, the coronavirus-related panic has been created artificially.

“The panic spreading in Ukrainian society in connection with the evacuation of our citizens from China has been created artificially,” Skaletska said.

The Public Health Center said earlier that Ukraine has no confirmed Covid-19 cases and urged the mass media not to spread fake news.
