You're reading: Ukrainian lawmakers on Wednesday consider about 160 more amendments to language bill

At a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, on Wednesday, another 165 amendments to the draft law on the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the state language were considered (No. 5670-d).

The plenary session on Wednesday was over after consideration of amendment No. 821, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent said. None of them was supported.

In total, the parliamentarians submitted 2,082 amendments to this legislative initiative.

The second reading of the draft law will be continued at the next meetings.
