Ukrainian marines participate in Platinum Lion 2017 exercise

Ukrainian marines have completed offensive maneuvers and destroyed the command posts of a fictional enemy in the Platinum Lion 2017 multinational exercise being held in Bulgaria, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has said.

“Ukraine’s marines have taken part in the multinational exercise Platinum Lion 2017. The country’s black berets aim to acquire experience in the multinational war games, which are being held according to NATO standards,” the ministry’s press release said on August 11.

Ukrainian marines practiced offensive tactics.

“In addition, Ukrainian troops took courses in aiming correction, calling in fire coordinates, measuring radiation levels, chemical and biological defensive measures.
