Ukrainian marines together with navy aviators have successfully ended their participation in the multinational Agile Spirit 2017 military exercise, which took place from September 3-13 at Georgia’s Orpolo firing range near Akhaltsikhe and returned to their home bases.
“Over the course of ten days marines trained to act as part of a multinational battalion. The units conducted defensive, attack and offensive drills with artillery and air support. A feature of the exercise was air jumps in mountainous terrain,” Ukraine’s Navy press service said on September 14.
Marine commander Vice Admiral Ihor Voronchenko, greeting the soldiers, said Ukrainian marines and marine pilots completed their tasks successfully during the exercise.
