Ukrainian soldiers shot down a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on Nov. 19 afternoon, which flew over the positions of Ukrainian units, the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) press center reports.

“Today after lunch, in the Horlivske sector, the Russian occupation forces used the UAV, which flew over the positions of our units in order to clarify the construction of the defense system and expose the fire system of the JFO,” it was reported.

According to the report, a hostile unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down by concentrated fire from small arms.

“When falling in a non-residential yard, the UAV detonated, which may indicate an unsafe cargo that the enemy was trying to hit our military,” the JFO said.

It is noted that the remnants of a downed UAV were handed over to specialists of special units for examination and identification.
