The Ukrainian troops’ positions in Donbas were shelled 14 times in the past 24 hours, Kyiv said.
“In particular, the enemy violated the regime of calm using small arms, machine guns and mortars in the area of Maryinka, Talakivka, Starohnativka, Shyrokyne and Vodiane in the Mariupol sector. In addition to that, a sniper fired at Shyrokyne and Maryinka,” the Kyiv press center for the military operation in Donbas said on Facebook.
Fire from mortars, machine guns and small arms near to Avdiyivka and the village of Verkhniotoretske was recorded in the Donetsk sector.
“The enemy used 82mm mortar to shell Avdiyivka and fire at the village of Novhorodske was opened from an infantry fighting vehicle and an anti-aircraft mount,” the press center said.
The separatists conducted armed provocations using small arms and machine guns in the vicinity of Novooleksandrivka and Novozvanivka in the Luhansk sector, the press center said.
