You're reading: Ukrainian MP attacked in Kyiv region

Law enforcers have introduced a special police operation, titled “Interception,” in Kyiv and the Kyiv region to search for people who attacked a Ukrainian MP in the town of Hostomel, Kyiv region, on August 16 morning and drove away in a gray Opel with foreign license plates.

“Today, on August 16, at about 10 a.m., two unidentified persons attacked a people’s deputy. They sprayed the man with Teren-4 tear gas and poured on his clothes the liquid with a pungent odor like excrement. The examination will show what kind of substance it is. The attack occurred on a street in the town of Hostomel,” the Kyiv regional police said on August 16.

An investigation team of the Irpin police department immediately arrived at the scene. A special operation has been introduced to detain the car and the culprits.
