Activists from the Ukrainian right-wing organizations Svoboda, Right Sector (banned in Russia), National Corps, and some others intend to picket the Russian consulate general in Kharkiv on March 18, the day of presidential elections in Russia.

“The aggressor should not have a single vote in Ukraine in the elections of president of Muscovy. We will come and make sure that nobody can enter [Russian] diplomatic establishments this day,” Kyrylo Lukashov, a spokesman for the Kharkiv regional branch of Svoboda, told Interfax-Ukraine.

“The voters will see a blockaded building and a corridor of shame,” he said.

Lukashov declined to give details of the planned picket, saying only that the matter concerned “a peaceful demonstration in full compliance with the law.”

The picket will last for 12 hours, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and the number of its participants will be varying in the process, he said.
