Russia-led forces mounted eight attacks on Ukrainian positions with the use of proscribed weapons on March 4, using tanks, 122mm artillery systems and 120mm mortars in six instance, as a result of which one member of Ukraine’s Joint Forces was killed in action, the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) press center said.

“In total, the occupation forces used proscribed weapons in eight attacks, having lobbed 99 shells of 125mm, 122mm, 120mm and 82mm calibers. Main battle tanks have been used for the first time since the beginning of the year,” the JFO press center wrote on Facebook in an evening update on March 4. “As a result of the attacks, one Ukrainian defender was killed. Our troops fired back. There is no information about enemy casualties yet.”

Hot spots were the villages of Lebedynske, Vodiane, Shyrokyne, Pisky, and Zaitseve.
