A serviceman died as a result of the shelling of the stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Avdiyivka, Donetsk region, by militants, Kyiv reported.
“According to preliminary information, as a result of the shelling of a stronghold of a subdivision of one of the mechanized brigades, whose personnel are performing combat missions near Avdiyivka, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine died,” the press center of the Ukrainian Military said on Facebook page on April 25.
The Russia-backed separatists used 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, various machine guns of large caliber and small arms.
