A soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was wounded by shelling in Donbas as a result of shelling by Russian-occupation forces, the press service of the Skhid (East) task force said.

“Today, September 9, the Russian armed formations resorted to another violation of the ceasefire and fired at the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the area of responsibility of the Skhid (East) task force. As a result of enemy fire, one member of the Joint Forces received a gunshot wound,” the Skhid task force said on Facebook.

After providing first aid, the wounded soldier was transported to a hospital. His health condition is grave.

The Ukrainian servicemen are in control of the situation in the Joint Force Operation (JFO) area.
