The Joint Forces’ positions in eastern Ukraine have been attacked 18 times since June 27 midnight, the Joint Forces Operation said on Facebook on June 27 evening.
“As a result of hostile attacks one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in action,” the post said.
Russia-backed separatists used proscribed weapons, namely 152mm and 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars. They also opened fire from grenade launchers of various systems, cannons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, large-caliber machine guns, and rifles.
