The crew of the Mi-24 helicopter from the Ukrainian army shot down the Orlan-10 UAV on Oct. 13 morning, which is on service with the armed forces of the Russian Federation, Kyiv says.

According to the Ukrainian military, the drone maneuvered, performing a reconnaissance flight along the Lysychansk-Severodonetsk route. Ukrainian commander Lieutenant-General Serhiy Nayev made a decision to destroy the target by attracting a Mi-24 helicopter of fire support operations, Ukrainian army said on Facebook.

The drone was shot down at 9:58 a.m. near the settlement of Borovske (Luhansk region). Soldiers found its fragments and identified them.
