The Ukrainian city of Lviv plans to develop a new type of tourism – conference and business tourism, First Deputy Mayor Andriy Moskalenko has said.

“The number of conferences held in Lviv is constantly growing. There were 237 conferences in 2015, 430 – in 2018, and more than 83,000 delegates from 24 countries of the world attended them. The conference industry is a new powerful sector of the economy, which provides not only new knowledge and expertise but also big investments, because it brings European cities about 4.5 times more profit than recreational tourism,” he said.
