DTEK specialists have repaired damaged sections of a power transmission line of the Donetsk water filtration station, although works on resuming water supply in the city of Avdiivka are still carried out.

Smoke belches from the coke factory in the eastern city of Avdiyivka on Feb. 5. The vast factory provides employment to many in the city, and heat from its furnaces is also used to provide heating in residential buildings. Heat supplies to many people in Avdiyivka were cut over the last week due to heavy fighting, which restricted supplies of fuel to the factory, forcing it to pare back its operations sharply. (2017)
