The Ukroboronprom State Concern expects that exports of arm and special services of the concern member enterprises will grow by at least 15 percent in 2017, Deputy Ukroboronprom Head Denys Hurak said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on April 25.

He said that in 2016, Ukroboronprom increased exports of arms and special services by 25%, to $759 million, while the volume of arms exports contracts signed by concern member enterprises in 2016 is estimated at around $1.5 billion.

“This means that currency income this and next year will grow in the same pace.

“15-20 percent is a realistic growth, taking into account new orders arriving,” Hurak said.

At present, participants in Ukroboronprom, created by the president decree in December 2010, are over 130 enterprises of the Ukrainian defense industry, including Ukrspecexport and its subsidiaries.

The concern said that the volume of arms exports contracts signed by Ukroboronprom in 2014-2016 is estimated at $3.8 billion.
