There is no potential for boosting flights of foreign airlines across Ukraine today, Head of the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) Dmytro Babeichuk has said.

“Unfortunately we cannot boast of the volumes and changes in these volumes, as the situation linked to the occupation of Crimea, MH17 disaster and the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine affected the structure of flights in Ukrainian air. The transit potential has almost disappeared,” he said at the Ukrainian Infrastructure Forum in Kyiv on Thursday.

He said that if earlier transit flows were around 80% of the company’s revenue, not it is less than 20%.

“We are opening other horizons. We are glad that national airlines are developing, in particular, UIA, as over 40% of our revenue is linked to it,” he said.
