The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Religions of the Argentine Republic has granted the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine to extradite a citizen of Ukraine in order to bring her to criminal responsibility for the embezzlement of funds of a state-owned enterprise worth some Hr 1.2 million.
“The decision of the Argentinean authorities to extradite a person at the request of the Ukrainian side was made on the principles of goodwill and reciprocity, being an unprecedented move in the field of international cooperation, given the lack of contractual relations between Ukraine and the Argentine Republic on extradition,” the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine reports.
