According to various estimates, the share of counterfeit products in the global market of pesticides totals about 15 percent, while in Ukraine it is up to 25 percent. This type of criminal business is in TOP-10 in terms of profitability, according to a report published by FAO.
Interpol, the USPTO, FAO and major plant protection products manufacturers gathered for a working meeting on March 14 to assess the current situation in Ukraine, come up with effective countermeasures against counterfeit goods, and exchange international experience.
