More than a third of Russians claim that Russia and Ukraine should close the borders and introduce a visa regime, according to a public opinion poll conducted by Russian NGO Levada Center poll. Precisely half of those polled (50 percent) believe that Russia and Ukraine should be independent, but remain friendly states with open borders, without visas and customs checks.
