Ukrainian farmers in 2016 set a historic record, having harvested 66 million tonnes of grain, which is 5.9 million tonnes more year-over-year, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported.
“According to preliminary statistics, the production of grain and leguminous crops in registered weight amounted to 66 million tonnes in 2016. This crop is a record in the history of Ukraine and is 5.9 million tonnes more than in 2015,” the report says.
