Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says Ukraine and representatives of the European Commission have agreed to start trilateral negotiations with Russia on transit of Russia’s gas to EU states through the territory of Ukraine.

“Ukraine and the EU have agreed to start trilateral talks with the Russian Federation on gas transit to Europe. Ukraine’s position in these negotiations will be firm and responsible,” he tweeted following a meeting with Vice President of the European Commission on Energy Union Maros Sefcovic on May 25.
