Ukraine paid the International Monetary Fund $450 million under a standby program of 2014, according to Hromadske TV referring to a representative of the National Bank.

“Indeed, payments began under the Standby program, and the first payment has already been transferred. In general, the volume of payments to the IMF – both on the principal amount of debt and interest on debt – is about $1 billion in August-December of this year. It poses no threat to the volume of international reserves. We have kept these payments in mind when forecasting the growth of international reserves to $20 billion by year-end,” the representative of the National Bank of Ukraine said.
