Ukraine police have launched criminal proceedings into the seizure of the Ukrainian small-scale fishing vessel and the illegal detention of four Ukrainian nationals, according to the press service of the Main National Police Department in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol [Ukraine-controlled body that has temporarily been relocated from the occupied peninsula to mainland Ukraine] .

“The MPD in Crimea and Sevastopol received from the Azov-Black Sea Division of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine a report on the detention on Aug. 28, 2013, by representatives of the” Border Guard Directorate of the Federal Security Service in the Republic of Crimea ‘in the Black Sea water area of a Ukrainian fishing vessel Yaod 2105 and its crew’,” reads the statement.
