UNIAN: USDA lowers wheat production forecast for Ukraine in 2018/2019 market year

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has lowered its forecast for wheat production in Ukraine in the 2018/2019 marketing year (MY, July 2018 – June 2019) by 1 million tonnes compared to the June forecast, to 25.5 million tons.

“Ukraine’s wheat production for 2018/19 is estimated by USDA at 25.5 million metric tons (mmt), down 1.0 mmt from last month and down 1.5 mmt from last year,” reads the USDA report.
