Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he hopes the war in Donbas will be over in a year.
“We proposed that Minsk [talks] should continue and that we should resolve the issue with a ceasefire, and we want to stop this war as soon as possible,” he said, speaking at a joint press conference with President of the European Council Donald Tusk and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker in Kyiv July 8.
