The Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP) expects that President-elect Volodymyr Zelenskiy will create a team with pro-European views and the council of entrepreneurs under the president as priority tasks, the union has reported.

“First of all, we consider it necessary to continue Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, to form a team of professionals with pro-European views. The creation of the Council of Entrepreneurs under the President of Ukraine as a permanent advisory body to determine the vector of economic reforms and attract support for legislative initiatives should be a priority in Ukraine,” the SUP said.

“In addition, we believe that there are specific steps that can be implemented immediately after the inauguration: the cancellation of the price regulation of notaries’ services – presidential decree No. 762/98 dated July 10, 1998; the annulment of so-called “fivefold decree” – presidential decree No. 436/95 dated June 12, 1995 sanctions for violations of the regulation of cash circulation,” the business association said.

During the last meeting with the business, Zelenskiy supported the 10 requirements of the association for the authorities announced a year ago, the SUP recalled. Among them are the exit capital tax, the opening of a land market, the modernization of labor law, the personal responsibility of officials for abuses, the reduction of tax pressure on the wage fund, and others.

At the same time, the SUP emphasized the importance of maintaining macroeconomic stability, continuing cooperation with the IMF, the course towards deregulation, decentralization, and currency liberalization.
