U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch has said that the increase in tariffs is the most powerful anti-corruption step of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers.
She said this during a public forum on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day in Kyiv on Dec. 9.
According to the ambassador, it is a bold step, which will increase the revenues of the state budget, and part of the funds coming from this increase will be spent on the support of Ukrainian families through housing subsidies.
