Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Vasyl Burba has met with Director of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency Lieutenant General Robert P. Ashley in Washington, D.C.; the parties have agreed to continue cooperation.

During the talks, Burba informed the U.S. side about aggressive and provocative actions of Russia in the occupied territories of Ukraine and in the Azov-Black Sea region, the Ukrainian agency said on its website on March 14.

Burba and his U.S. counterparts also discussed irrefutable evidence of the intentions of the Russian Federation to destabilize the situation in Ukraine, European countries and other regions of the world.

“As a result of the visit, a number of agreements were reached on cooperation and assistance by the American side in enhancing the capabilities of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry to counteract Russia’s armed aggression,” the agency said.
