U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker has arrived in Ukraine for a visit, the U.S. embassy in Kyiv told the Kyiv-based Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
“Yes, he arrived around 1:00 p.m. today,” the embassy’s press service said, adding that Volker might meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
Volker may travel to eastern Ukraine. He has scheduled talks with Ukrainian officials, and is expected to meet in Dubai on Jan. 26 with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aide Vladislav Surkov.
