The United States intends to maintain close relations of partnership with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy after he assumed office.

“Congratulations to President Zelenskiy on his inauguration! The United States looks forward to partnering closely with him to advance the U.S.-Ukraine partnership,” the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine said in a statement released on May 20.

“Today, Secretary [of Energy] Rick Perry and other U.S. officials participated in a bilateral meeting where they reinforced the U.S. commitment to collaborating with President Zelenskiy and the people of Ukraine in support of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic reforms,” it said.
