Ukraine will receive money according to the signed contract, even despite the completion of construction of Nord Stream-2 by Russia and in the absence of transit, head of the board of Naftogaz Ukrainy Yuriy Vitrenko said.

“That is when Ukraine is guaranteed to receive money for transit, even when it is not through the territory of Ukraine. For example, if there is no transit of gas through Ukraine, if Nord Stream 2 is completed, then Ukraine should still receive billions of dollars under the contract,” Vitrenko said on the air of the Right to Power (Pravo na Vladu) program on the 1 + 1 TV channel on June 17.

According to him, the contract was signed with a “pump-or-pay” guarantee.
