Volker: Ukraine should play leadership role in Normandy format

U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker ascribes the role of a leader in the Normandy format to Ukraine.

“Ukraine should play a leadership role in the Normandy process, and the United States will continue supporting its actions at the same time,” the Voice of America cited Volker as saying.

The U.S. diplomat noted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s signal in the form of the disengagement of forces as an extremely positive step, which attracts attention to Russia’s inaction.
