The security guard of the former Russian State Duma Deputy, Denis Voronenkov, was operated on at the Main Military Clinical Hospital in Kyiv, his condition is grave but controlled, the Television News Service (1+1 TV Channel) reported referring to doctors’ data.

According to the doctors, the surgery lasted four hours. The guard of the former Duma deputy was wounded in the stomach and lost a lot of blood. Doctors say his condition is grave, but controlled.

As reported, Voronenkov was shot dead in central Kyiv on March 23. The assassin was wounded by the former deputy’s security guard and later died in hospital.

According to Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, Voronenkov’s guard is an officer of a security service of Ukraine.
