AMSTERDAM – Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte on Oct. 28 made a final plea to Parliament to support ratification of a European Union trade pact with Ukraine, warning a rejection could fuel geopolitical instability and send the wrong signal to Russia.

“I’m calling on the forces of reason to support it,” he said at a news conference. “This pact is bigger than the Netherlands alone.”
