Repair teams have restored the power lines which supply electricity to the Donetsk filtration station (DFS), water supply to Avdiyivka is expected on July 25 morning, with complete resumption of water supply due by July 25 evening, Avdiyivka military and civil administration head Pavlo Malykhin has said.
“The power lines feeding the Donetsk filtration station have been restored. The DFS will be provided with electricity soon… Therefore, we are expecting the supply to Avdiyivka already in the morning, and full restoration of water supply tomorrow closer to evening,” Malykhin wrote on his Facebook account on July 24.
Local residents will use fresh water from a reservoir on July 25, he said.
As reported, power lines were damaged in the hostilities in Donbas on July 22, which halted power supply to the Donetsk filtration station, which centrally supplies water to Avdiyivka (about 22,000 residents).
