The White House on April 24 urged the parties to the Ukrainian conflict to cooperate to fully investigate the circumstances of the death of an OSCE officer in Donbas.

“We are deeply saddened by the death of a paramedic, a U.S. citizen, who worked for OSCE. We express our deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones and wish his colleagues, wounded in a blast, the quickest recovery,” White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told a briefing on April 24.

“We call on parties to cooperate with the SMM [Special Monitoring Mission] to fully investigate this incident,” he said.

Spicer said the “tragic death of an OSCE member only serves the urgent need for all sides, especially Russian backed separatists, to meet all the requirements provided under the Minsk Agreements.”

As earlier reported, about 10:17 on April 23 in the area of the locality of Pryshyb of Luhansk region beyond government control, a car of the OSCE SMM was blown up, presumably by a mine.
