You're reading: Yanukovych summoned by Kyiv court for testifying

The Obolonsky District Court of the city of Kyiv has summoned former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych to testify on May 4, 2017, as the accused in the case over high treason.

A copy of the subpoena has been posted on the portal of the Ukrainian judiciary.

“The Obolonsky District Court of Kyiv summons you as the accused to appear at 10 a.m. on May 4, 2017, in the case against Yanukovych, Viktor Fedorovych, who stands accused of crimes envisaged in Article 27 Part Five, Article 110 Part Three, Article 111 Part One, and Article 437 Part Two, of the Ukrainian Criminal Code,” the document says.

It was reported earlier the case against Yanukovych will heard in the Obolonsky court by a panel of three judges: presiding judge Vladyslav Deviatko, his deputy Dmytro Kambulov and civil-administrative panel judge Maksym Tytov.
