Ukrainian presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskiy has described his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
“The atmosphere was superb, very warm. The meeting was constructive; I saw an actual leader of the united Europe in front of me. I liked [that]. We discussed the most important issues for Ukrainian society, for Ukraine,” Zelenskiy said in an interview with Radio Liberty in Paris.
When asked a follow-up question about what they had discussed during the meeting, Zelenskiy replied: “We discussed life and essentials. Ending the war in Donbas.”
