Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Yakiv Smolii and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy have discussed the issues of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the importance of the NBU’s independence.

“I’ve had a meeting with President Zelenskiy. We talked about the current economic situation and banking system, the need for cooperation with the IMF and the importance of the NBU’s independence. And also, further steps to maintain macro-financial stability. Meaningful,” Smolii said on Twitter.
