Ukrainian presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s campaign headquarters has denied that the trip of its representative to the United States has been arranged with the assistance of lobbyist groups or agencies and that former Naftogaz of Ukraine CEO Oleh Dubyna is aligned to the Zelenskiy campaign.

“Considering another wave of disinformation coming from the media before the runoff presidential election in Ukraine, we formally announce that the campaign of Volodymyr Zelenskiy has not engaged any lobbyist companies or agencies to organize a visit of its representative to the United States. We have no contact with Signal Group,” the campaign said in a statement posted on Facebook early on April 18 morning.

It also denied the alignment of Dubyna, a former Ukrainian first deputy prime minister and former CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine, to the campaign.

“The fundamental position expressed by Volodymyr Zelenskiy in the beginning of his campaign, which is crucial whenever personnel issues are concerned, is that no covert deals, promises, or designation of future posts, portfolios, and places on any lists will ever be made or given by us and kept secret from the public. This position makes us different from members of the ‘old’ political elites,” the statement said.
