You're reading: Zelensky, ambassadors of G7 countries discuss reforms in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has held a meeting with ambassadors of the G7 countries, during which the course of reforms in the country was discussed.

“I am ready for a dialogue and discussion. We are not wasting time and are doing everything to really change the country,” the president’s press service quoted Zelensky as saying on Nov. 14 evening.

The president emphasized that work is being carried out in several areas, in particular, “on the adoption and implementation of laws that are often unpopular but important to improve the economic climate in Ukraine.”

Particular attention during the meeting was focused on the fight against corruption.

“The participants discussed in detail the judicial reform, in particular the implementation of the law on the activities of the judiciary,” it said.

Also, during the meeting, they discussed the participation of international experts in the formation of the new composition of the High Qualifications Commission of Judges of Ukraine and the Commission on Integrity and Ethics under the High Council of Justice.
