You're reading: Zelensky appreciates World Bank’s support in combating corruption

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked President of the World Bank David Malpass for supporting Ukraine and informed on the steps towards reforming the country.

“We are a different team. We do not have time at all. Our key tasks are not just to fight corruption, but to defeat it,” said Zelensky during a meeting with the World Bank delegation headed by Malpass on Friday.

The head of state said that the newly established Anticorruption Court would start working on September 5.

He also stressed on the importance of adopting land reform, infrastructure development and public-private partnership.

Zelensky said he hopes for the continued financial support and technical assistance from the World Bank to run the reforms in Ukraine.

The head of state invited the World Bank representatives to come to the investment forum in Mariupol in autumn.
